Our Deal Management Agent: Bringing Scaled AI-Adoption to PMPs, PGs, and Auction Packages

Behind every private marketplace (PMP) or programmatic guaranteed (PG) deal is a series of detailed configuration steps.

Dates, pricing, targeting, pacing, and partner assignments must all align. When teams are managing dozens or even hundreds of deals at a time, those manual steps add up quickly.

Last August, we introduced our Deal Management agent to address this operational complexity, bringing AI-powered deal setup to publishers.

Today, that capability is delivering measurable results, and we’re excited to extend it to buyers and curators.

Proven Impact with Publishers

Since launch, the agent has enabled more than 1,000 AI-powered deals, transacting millions in platform spend.

By translating natural language instructions into structured deal configurations, the agent replaces complex, multi-step UI workflows with a conversational setup experience. Early tests indicated an 87% reduction in deal setup time.

For publishers managing high volumes of PMP and PG demand, this means less time spent navigating workflows and fewer configuration errors when scaling across multiple buyers.

The agent supports both individual and bulk workflows, enabling teams to create or edit multiple deals simultaneously, such as adjusting CPMs or updating flight dates across an entire set of transactions.

A publisher managing PG deals can log into PubMatic’s platform and enter:

“Create two PG deals for buyer ABC and DSP 123 with a $20 CPM, $50,000 budget, priority P6, even pacing, :15 creative, CTV only, with the first deal running from 5/1/26 to 6/1/26 and the second deal running from 7/1/26 to 8/1/26.”

Rather than configuring each deal manually in the UI, the agent generates a structured summary for review. With a single approval, those deals can be activated simultaneously.

This streamlined process reduces hours of manual setup work and helps minimize configuration errors that often surface later in trafficking or reconciliation.

Now, we’re bringing that same efficiency to the buy side.

Expanding Agentic Deal Management to Buyers and Curators

Buyers and curators can now use the Deal Management agent to create auction packages through a natural language interface — specifying pricing, flight dates, targeting parameters, and publisher lists conversationally.

The agent is accessible within AgenticOS via PubMatic Assistant. Buyers can also connect through their preferred platform, agent, or AI assistant via MCP connectivity. This ensures teams can engage with the agent through the workflow that makes the most sense for their business.

This capability is especially impactful for curators who have clearly defined objectives and parameters. They know what inventory they want to package and how they want to structure it. What slows them down isn’t finding inventory; it’s the tedious setup work that follows.

The agent addresses that gap directly. Instead of navigating multiple screens, buyers simply describe what they want and the agent handles the rest, keeping every decision auditable.

The Deal Management agent supports our commitment to flexible, buyer-first workflows. Whether curating deals for third-party DSPs or activating directly within PubMatic, buyers can manage both through a single conversational interface, operating across platforms in parallel without disrupting existing strategies.

Agentic Execution, Built for the Future
