The awards celebrate mobile excellence in services, products, campaigns and sectors and recognize leading brands, agencies and firms that are driving the transformation and advancement of mobile marketing.
In 2015, the mobile advertising gap for publishers closed. In our Q3 2015 Quarterly Mobile Index (QMI), we uncovered several key macroeconomic mobile advertising trends: mobile CPMs were higher and growing faster than desktop CPMs; average CPMs for mobile optimized inventory rose 48 percent year-over-year; and private marketplace (PMP) CPMs were higher than non-PMP CPMs by a factor of 5-6X for mobile. As we look ahead to 2016, 45.2 percent of the global population will be mobile phone users, with 2.1 billion smartphones in use across the globe.1 This massive mobile ecosystem continues to present substantial opportunities for business growth and consumer engagement, and we look forward to identifying new mobile advertising trends in the coming year.
