It’s a privilege to announce that two of my PubMatic marketing team colleagues – Susan Wu and Alena Morris — have been selected as honorees at this year’s Top Women in Media and Ad-Tech Awards. The awards, from AdExchanger, AdMonsters and Folio, “recognize, celebrate, inspire and bring together the women who are making an impact in the greater digital media and advertising technology community.”
This description is apt for both Sue and Alena, two women who are making a positive impact for PubMatic, and also for ad-tech as a whole. I’m so lucky to have them on my team; each brings something unique and special to the organization and pushes us to be better every day.
Sue, our senior director of marketing research, is being honored in the “Data Demystifier” category. She is responsible for PubMatic’s market research programs and analyst relations. During her time with PubMatic, Sue has brought systematic rigor to market research and thought leadership content, and was instrumental in creating a voice of the customer program through brand and product surveys, platform and service-level feedback channels. She provides clients with strategic market insights and benchmarks through industry trends and research. All the while, she is helping shape the company’s strategy and roadmap by advising on target markets, changing industry trends, competition, and market opportunities.
Alena, a senior director of product marketing, is being honored in the “Programmatic Storytelling” category, which is a perfect description of her talents. Alena has transformed our addressability narrative, bringing clarity to how PubMatic is future-proofing our customers’ businesses. She achieved this by making a very complex topic simple for PubMatic’s internal and external customers and spearheading efforts to consolidate PubMatic’s portfolio of addressability solutions. By rallying PubMatic’s internal teams and customers around a shared vision for the future of addressability, Alena has helped prepare customers for a future without third-party cookies and Apple’s IDFA.
As a manager, there is nothing better than seeing your team members thrive and shine. The impact each of these women has on the company as well as on their colleagues is inspiring, and I know that the honor of this award is only the beginning.
