In recognition of PubMatic’s work to continually raise digital advertising standards and provide superior performance, the ad tech company has been awarded The German Marketplace Deals (GMD) Quality Certificate from BVDW. The award solidifies PubMatic’s support BVDW’s commitment to proactively mitigating the risk of brand safety issues, reducing ad fraud, and improving consumers’ experience of digital advertising.
Building on the BVDW Code of Conduct Programmatic Advertising, The German Marketplace Deals (GMD) Quality Certificate is awarded to companies that have a standardised deal setup that ensures programmatic advertising campaigns can be implemented easily, transparently, and reliably. Platforms must meet several new rigorous criteria to achieve certification, including stable target group ranges, inventory quality, flexibility of trading, as well as being able to provide documentation and insight to demonstrate compliance with the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive.
