Hamburg, Germany (1 May, 2019) Premium digital advertising technology company, PubMatic, announced the appointment of Ekkehardt Schlottbohm as Regional Director for Central Europe. Based in the PubMatic Hamburg office and overseeing the teams in Munich and Berlin, Schlottbohm brings a wealth of experience in business development, building partnerships and developing effective commercial strategies. He will be focused on driving adoption around the company’s mobile and video solutions, continuing the growth in the key German market and developing the business in Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Poland.

Schlottbohm joins PubMatic from [m]PLATFORM, GroupM’s technology and services business. There he served as Managing Partner, Sales and Consultancy, responsible for business development for all GroupM’s services and products and managing relations across the agencies, especially at a senior level. He brings more than 12 years digital expertise encompassing the buy-side and programmatic advertising in video, native and contextual, with companies including YuMe, Plista, Spree7 and smartclip.

Programmatic ad spending in Germany is expected to reach €1.80 billion in 2019, growing by 37.5% over the prior year. * Programmatic has been a key driver of digital ad spend in the German market, and has very much been led by increasing investment in mobile advertising.
