Operating from PubMatic’s Hamburg office, Sauer assumes the pivotal role of overseeing both seller and buyer teams, steering PubMatic’s strategic expansion in the German market.

Leonhard brings more than 18 years of expertise in media and advertising, garnered through diverse leadership positions in sales and client services across the digital media publishing industry. Prior to assuming the Country Manager position at PubMatic, he spearheaded the ad solutions team for PubMatic in Germany, while emphasising transparency and efficiency to enhance collaboration between publishers and buyers. Preceding this, he held several management roles, including Head of Digital Media Optimization – Programmatic Operations at Gruner + Jahr EMS GmbH (now part of Ad Alliance) and Unit Manager Digital Sales at Axel Springer Media Impact GmbH.
