Senior Manager, Agency Sales Nordics (Mat cover 12 months)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Agency Sales – Nordics to join PubMatic on a 12-month maternity cover contract, based in our Stockholm office.

In this role, you will lead PubMatic’s advertiser and agency strategy across the Nordic region. You’ll manage a talented team driving programmatic demand, strengthening agency partnerships, and accelerating adoption of PubMatic’s key products—Private Marketplaces (PMPs), Media Buyer Console (MBC), and Activate.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership position for someone with deep programmatic knowledge, strong commercial instincts, and a passion for developing people and partnerships. You will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and work closely with agencies, DSPs, and advertisers to deliver innovative and measurable results for PubMatic and its partners.

What You’ll Do:

Drive Agency & Advertiser Growth

  • Build and strengthen relationships with leading agency holding groups and their trading desks across the Nordic markets.
  • Drive adoption of PubMatic’s PMP, MBC, and Activate solutions with key strategic agencies.
  • Respond to buyer briefs by designing auction packages that meet specific client requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to proactively promote inventory, audience, and data-driven opportunities across PubMatic’s publisher portfolio.

Work Cross-Functionally to Deliver Excellence

  • Partner with Ad Operations, Deal Desk, and Customer Success to develop and refine marketplace packages and best practices.
  • Provide structured, data-driven feedback to Product and Engineering to influence future product development.
  • Align regional sales activation with global objectives alongside the EMEA leadership team.

Provide Strategic Market Leadership

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of buyer and DSP ecosystems to uncover new business opportunities and strengthen partner relationships.
  • Represent PubMatic as a thought leader at client meetings, industry events, and regional forums.
  • Deliver forecasts, analysis, and recommendations to senior management to guide commercial decisions.

Who You Are:

  • A passionate commercial leader with an expert understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including the interplay between SSPs, DSPs, and agencies.
  • 5+ years’ experience in digital media, ad tech, or programmatic sales, including agency sales, business development, or media partnerships roles—preferably with exposure to major agency groups.
  • Strong understanding of PMPs, programmatic trading, audiences, and data strategies, with the ability to translate these into actionable client solutions.
  • Confident using Excel or similar tools to analyze data, generate insights, and formulate sales strategies.
  • Excellent communicator, negotiator, and collaborator with a client-first mindset.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in a Nordic language is a strong advantage.
