Director - Advertising Solutions, Brand Direct, APAC
About the Role:
A highly motivated individual to drive sales, strategic partnerships, and revenue growth for PubMatic. This role focuses on identifying, pitching, and engaging with leading brands. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial in nature, responsible for initiating and developing brand relationships, leading solution-based sales conversations, and ensuring alignment between brand needs and our service offerings.
What You'll Do:
- This position will require frequent and meaningful interaction across peers in other offices/ functions and PubMatic’s leadership team. To be a leader in this environment will require the ability to quickly connect the dots between all functions and possess a deep understanding of PubMatic’s technology, service offerings, and capabilities.
- Prospect and engage new brands via LinkedIn, calls, or networking.
- Pitch PubMatic's value proposition to brands & brand custodians.
- Develop compelling and customized pitches for brand teams.
- Have a deep understanding of the larger programmatic landscape in APAC specifically in the markets of India, Australia, Japan, South East Asia, Hong Kong & Taiwan.
- Engage with senior client directors to influence decision-making & educate them on PubMatic's value proposition
- Respond to brand briefs and customize solutions that meet their business objectives.
- Lead global & local market coordination efforts to expand brand penetration.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to develop tailored solutions for brands.
- Ideate and present innovative concepts that align with client goals.
- Provide proactive ideas for brand collaboration and campaign execution.
- Ability to present effectively to C-level executives and confidently navigate challenges
- Willingness & patience to test, learn & optimise will be key
We’d Love for You to Have
- 8-10+ years of related experience in sales, business development, and/or product within an advertising technology company or agencies.
- Deep understanding of the ecosystem from the advertiser and brand perspective in Australia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore and Japan
- Established relationships across key advertisers and brands in APAC
- Growth mindset: willing to take risks, ask questions
- Solution leadership: able to shape the roadmap of features requested by clients and lead discussion in relationship with our Product Management and R&D team
- Understand the dynamics of the programmatic industry especially sell-side, most notably operations of supply side platforms and ad serving tech
- Clear communicator and service-oriented leader
- Experience with C level engagements &
- Ultra-high EQ & high level of self-awareness
