Director, Product Management, Performance Advertising
About the Role:
We are immediately hiring a Director of Product Management, Performance Advertising to join our growing team in Redwood City or New York on a hybrid schedule.
This foundational hire will lead PubMatic’s product efforts to build platform level performance advertising and measurement capabilities that power functionality across PubMatic’s product portfolio. In addition to building out core capabilities, the Director will collaborate across the product team to build customer facing functionality powered by the underlying platform functionality.
As the product leader for Performance Advertising, this person will both set product strategy as well as own execution of their roadmap. As the programmatic ecosystem is becoming more performance focused, this role provides an experienced product manager with the opportunity to have an enormous impact and accelerate business growth.The ideal candidate will have a track record of demonstrated success in building and taking to market advertising optimization capabilities.
They will understand programmatic advertising from both the buy and sell side, including what motivates buyers and sellers of advertising with respect to technology decision making. They will have a full spectrum of product management skills. This includes defining vision, setting strategy, evangelizing their products, assessing competition, and collaborating with engineering, operations, and marketing to drive the successful delivery and adoption of their platform.
What You'll Do:
As a senior member of the product management team, you will be responsible for product vision, product strategy, and execution of your product portfolio:
- Product Strategy: Driving the product strategy and vision for PubMatic’s performance advertising capabilities, aligning with the company's objectives and market trends.
- Product Roadmap: Define and prioritize the product roadmap based on a well-reasoned point of view of where PubMatic can generate competitive advantage, customer feedback, market analysis, and business goals
- Product Development: Support product development process, working closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment. Expect to roll up your sleeves.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success to ensure seamless execution and alignment with business objectives.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify opportunities, inform product decisions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Customer Engagement: Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to understand customer needs, gather feedback, and develop customer-centric product offerings.
- Product Launch: Drive successful product launches, coordinating with marketing and sales teams to ensure effective go-to-market strategies and enablement.
- Performance Tracking: Define and track key product metrics, analyze performance data, and make data-driven decisions to optimize advertiser outcomes.
We'd Love for You to Have:
- 5+ years in product management with extensive experience in programmatic advertising, ad optimization and measurement
- Understanding of optimization and measurement across web, mobile in-app and CTV
- Proven track record of successfully driving product strategy and leading the development of innovative, market-leading products.
- Passion for applying machine learning and AI to advertising
- Deep knowledge of product management methodologies, processes, and tools.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to travel to support client meetings and events - domestic and international
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree preferred

Compensation Disclosure
In accordance with applicable law, the below salary range provided is PubMatic’s reasonable estimate of the total compensation for this role. New hires and current team members are typically compensated toward the middle of our pay range. The actual amount may vary, based on non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. In addition to salary PubMatic also offers a bonus, restricted stock units, and a competitive benefits package.
