Eric has been a member of our board of directors since 2012. Eric has served as a general partner at August Capital since 2010 and as co-founder and general partner at Lobby Capital since 2021.
Eric’s investing experience includes more than 25 years of backing leading consumer marketplace and eCommerce providers (e.g., Blue Nile, Zulily, Ebates, STANCE), financial service and insurance technology companies (e.g., Avant, Amount, Kin Insurance), SaaS platform businesses (e.g., HouseCallPro, FourKites), and advertising infrastructure providers (e.g., PubMatic, Integral Ad Science).
Eric’s transactional experience includes serving as Co-Head of Technology Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch & Co. and as an Executive in Residence at Golden Gate Capital. Eric’s operating experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer for several public and private companies including Provide Commerce (acquired by Liberty Media Interactive), IKANO Communications, Inc., Authorize.Net (acquired by Go2Net) and Einstein Noah Bagel Corporation, which he helped take public.
A native Chicagoan, Eric received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
